Residential Skip Bins
For homes, garages, sheds, gardens and the kind of mess that builds up over a weekend. Small enough to fit in a driveway, big enough to clear out a house.
read moreA Marrel bin is brilliant for most residential and light commercial work. But there's a point where it stops making sense to keep swapping smaller bins in and out, and it's time to bring in the big guns.
That's where hook lift bins come in.
They're larger, they're open-top, they're designed for heavy industrial use, and the truck places them with a hydraulic hook-and-chain system that makes placement on awkward sites surprisingly clean.
If you're pulling down a building, fitting out a warehouse, stripping a factory, doing a major subdivision, or tackling a commercial cleanout on a deadline:
This is the bin you want.
The rough rule: if you're going to fill more than two 8m³ or 10m³ Marrels, the maths starts working in favour of a 15m³ or 18m³ hook lift. You pay for one delivery, one pickup, one bin on site, and you save your team the constant back-and-forth.
The biggest benefit is volume. One hook lift bin can replace several standard skip bin pickups, which means fewer truck visits, less disruption, and lower overall cost per cubic metre. They are also easier to fill from a height - you can drive a bobcat up to the side, tip a wheelbarrow in, or load directly from a scaffold. The low back means you are not constantly lifting things over a tall edge.
For long jobs, we can swap full bins for empty ones on a regular schedule. That keeps your site clear without anyone on-site having to track when the waste is getting out of hand.
Commercial demolition, industrial and factory cleanouts, multi-unit strip-outs, large home demolitions, big subdivisions, civil jobs and anything where the volume just isn't going to fit in a standard skip.
Our hook lift bins run at 15m³, 18m³, 25m³ and 30m³. If you're not sure which size suits your site or needs, give us a call and we will walk through it with you.
Hook lift trucks need a bit more room than a standard skip truck. We'll walk through the access on the phone before we commit - the overhead clearance, ground slope, and room to manoeuvre matter. If a hook lift won't fit, we'll suggest a run of Marrel swaps instead and be upfront about which option saves you money.

Your time matters. We give you a realistic delivery window and we hit it. If something shifts on our end, you'll hear from us first; never the other way around.
Whatever can be kept out of landfill, we keep out. Concrete and bricks go for recycling, green waste goes to compost, metal gets salvaged. Better for the country and, more often than not, a touch cheaper for your bill.
We work hard to keep our prices affordable, fair and competitive, with pricing designed to reflect the service required and offer good value to every customer.
Real humans answering the phone, drivers who treat your driveway and your neighbours with respect, and a team that actually cares whether your job goes smoothly. Amazing service is the Marvel Skips guarantee.
